The Arena Będzin in Poland recently hosted two major majorette sport events: the 19th European Championship in Majorette Sport and the 6th European Majorette Cup, both supported by Czech Television and accompanied by a live online broadcast with archived recordings available for later viewing.

The modern sports arena provided ideal conditions for competitors thanks to its spacious layout, the helpfulness of the venue management, and excellent technical facilities. Air conditioning ensured a comfortable environment throughout the entire competition.

A total of 27 clubs and 608 competitors participated in the European Majorette Cup, where group performances were the dominant category. Most participants came from Poland, which has traditionally been one of the strongest nations in the disciplines featured in cup competitions.

The European Championship attracted 70 clubs and 1,107 athletes, with a strong focus on groups as well as small formations (solo, duo-trio, and mini formations). All competitors demonstrated a high level of performance and technical ability. The competition was dominated by Polish and Czech teams, reflecting the long-standing tradition of European majorette championships. Clubs from these countries have participated regularly since 2003.

Newer teams and countries with a shorter competitive history, such as Ukraine and Germany, competed bravely in all categories and formations and demonstrated very good movement technique. However, they reached medal positions only occasionally. With further development of choreography and equipment handling skills, they are expected to become strong contenders in the near future.

The event was not only a sporting competition but also a celebration of teamwork, creativity, and precise choreography. Spectators enjoyed a diverse program featuring individual competitors, teams, and larger formations. The atmosphere inside the arena encouraged both athletes and supporters, creating an unforgettable sporting experience.

Overall, this year’s edition was highly successful. It reinforced the traditional leading positions of Poland and the Czech Republic in European majorette sport while providing inspiration for young talents from across the continent.

Throughout both events, a live online broadcast was available, allowing spectators and fans to follow all competition disciplines and categories from the comfort of their homes. The cooperation with Czech Television significantly contributed to the accessibility and documentation of these important sporting events.
