The European Championship and EMC competitors marched through the city
A powerful experience of the competition days of the European Championship and the European Majorettes Cup was the accompanying program, the highlight of which was the ceremonial parade of majorettes – competitors from the participating countries. The colorful parade left the Mandrač harbor accompanied by a large orchestra and headed to the main square of the city to the attention of locals and tourists.
This magnificent spectacle was for hundreds of spectators, who watched with admiration the parade of competitors in colorful costumes. Of course, there was no shortage of mobile technology – photos and videos from the parade quickly flew around and reached various social corners of the world.
On the square, the program continued with exhibition performances, during which various forms were presented with various types of competition equipment – from traditional sticks, through poms to flags. Competitors of all age categories took turns on the stage, from the youngest to experienced seniors. The audience appreciated each performance with warm applause.
The festive evening culminated with the majorettes’ joint song Hoooray, which symbolically concluded the entire program. Although the interest in the performance was great, the evening had to end – the competition continued the following day.
Závodnice ME a EMC pochodovaly městem
Silným zážitkem soutěžních dnů Mistrovství Evropy a European Majorettes Cup byl doprovodný program, jehož vrcholem se stal slavnostní průvod mažoretek – závodnic ze zúčastněných zemí. Barevný průvod vyšel z přístavu Mandrač za doprovodu velkého orchestru a za pozornosti místních obyvatel i turistů mířil až na hlavní náměstí města.
Tato velkolepá podívaná se stala atrakcí pro stovky přihlížejících, kteří s obdivem sledovali defilé soutěžních týmů v pestrých kostýmech. Nechyběla samozřejmě mobilní technika – fotografie a videa z průvodu rychle obletěly sociální sítě a dostaly se do nejrůznějších koutů světa.
Na náměstí program pokračoval exhibičními vystoupeními, při kterých se představily různé formace s nejrůznějšími druhy soutěžních náčiní – od tradičních hůlek, přes pomy až po prapory. Na pódiu se střídaly závodnice všech věkových kategorií, od nejmenších až po zkušené seniorky. Publikum každé vystoupení ocenilo vřelým potleskem.
Slavnostní podvečer vyvrcholil společnou skladbou Hoooray majorettes, která symbolicky zakončila celý program. Přestože zájem o vystoupení byl veliký, večer musel skončit – soutěžní klání totiž pokračovalo i následující den.
