After last year’s European Championship, which took place in Poland, majorettes could the whole competition year look forward to this year ECH, held in the Croatian town and tourist resort on the coast of the Kvarner Bay of the Adriatic Sea, in the beautiful city Crikvenica.
The place, where the 11th European Championship Majorettes Sport took place, was for many groups from the Czech Republic’s great motivation. They brought within the nationwide contest their best performance and fought for the precious getting through to enable them to participate in the European Championship.
Local organizer of ECH was Hrvatsko udruženje mažoret timova, Icici, Croatia. I must say that for many Czech majorettes the big unknown and therefore a little bit worried about how everything will “work out” with accommodation, food and organizational aspects of the competition … they were. After all, the financial aspect to attend such an event is not for many of us is negligible and give us all a lot of effort to secure finance from both parents and from those who are willing to support us financially within the representation of cities and counties. I am glad that the fears were misplaced.
Accommodation and meals in the hostel Karlovac was for us a good choice and the owner of the hostel, Mr Marijan Karlicse was assumed of all tasks flawlessly. For majorettes he prepared the best conditions. There were meeting facilities, several playgrounds and a private beach, just a few meters away. He took care also about the wonderful experience of girls while sailing ships.
The part of the competition days itself was scheduled programmatically wisely. Majorettes were able to enjoy the afternoon sunshine on the beach, spend time trainings, or stroll around the city Crikvenica. Municipal Sports Hall where the competition took place, equipped with air conditioning and standardized surfaces lying on the parquet floor, offered quality facilities for demonstrating the best performance and amazing viewing experience.
I would like to thank personally and on behalf of majorettes MICHELLE Karvina for the professional and very successful organization of XI. European Championship majorettes Sports to all who in any way participated in this event. I know very well how much time and work entails organizing of so grueling competition. We would like to return to Crikvenice also for XII. annual of the European Championship.
In the days 17.09 – 19.09, 2016 will be held II. Mediterranean Cup, I wish you success in organizing and our and other majorettes personal participation.
